At IGC, we take your health and safety as a top priority. All our staff and technicians follow all COVID protocols for cleaning, disinfecting, maintaining 2ft distance and wearing masks.
Here are the steps we take to ensure protocol is being met:
All IGC employees entering a work environment must complete the IGC/FCM Employee COVID-19 Self Screening Questionnaire at the link before you leave home each day. The completion of this form informs our heads that our technicians and staff are eligible to work that day.
- The form must be completed every day a technician intends to enter the office and/or one of our customers sites to ensure the safety of all participants.
- Masks are mandatory when entering any building and while performing duties.
- Masks and gloves will be provided if you do not have one on hand. Do not enter customer sites or our offices without multi-ply masks or face coverings.
- Avoid non-essential trips in the community.
Handwashing or using an alcohol-based (70%) hand sanitizer is very important to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Washing with soap and water is preferred if hands are visibly dirty. Clean hands thoroughly, lather and rub for at least 15 seconds. Ensure adequate supplies are maintained. If gloves are being used, after removing gloves, place in the garbage and wash hands.
All staff must keep two meters/six feet from other staff and customers as much as possible.
Plexiglas barriers have been placed on the front desk. The office will be fogged bi-weekly as a preventative measure.
Ensure frequent cleaning and disinfecting of your high-touch surfaces and common areas such door handles, counters, cabinet doors, elevator buttons, light switches, faucets, toilet handles, handrails, touch screen surfaces and keypads. Common areas should have soap, hand sanitizer and/or disinfectant wipes. If wipes are not available, general disinfectants can be used and will be provided.
Currently, the Government of Canada recommends all Canadians avoid all non-essential travel. Check the Government of Canada’s travel advisories for the latest guidance and recommendations. Travelers entering Canada will be required to self-isolate for 14 days after return from travel outside of Canada.
